The 2011 Fourwinds Chateau is reserved!

After shopping around, Roger landed a brand-new RV rental at a decent price and we don’t have to drive an hour across the metro to pick it up. It’s right next door in Maplewood. If all goes well, I’ll let you know the dealer’s name after we make the final payment!

Next, we’re voting on names for our home for ten days. Today, the name in play is: Snoopy. For no apparent reason other than it’s a great name.

    • We’re in Herbster next week too. A friend has a cabin out at the end of Bark Point. They have a great local frozen pizza at the gas station in Herbster. Be sure to stop at Eler’s General Store in Cornucopia to take on provisions for the Canadian wilderness. Also, there is an artesian spring/well with the best free-flowing water at the beach on the east end of Cornucopia that people come to from miles around to stock up on. We’re taking the evening cruise of the Apostle Islands out of Bayfield on Tuesday. If you go to Jampot on the Keweenaw peninsula please buy me a fruitcake. I’ll pay you back, I promise. Have a great trip.

      • Great tips, Richard! I read about Jampot and have it on my list of possibilities. Of course I’ll pick up a fruitcake for you. With that kind of recommendation, I may have to get one for myself!
